Live data vs illustrative seed

Lankawa ships with both live adapters and curated seed datasets. Seed modules let the platform stay usable while ingest pipelines are built — we document limitations openly in /about and on each module.

What you see on Lankawa

A honest snapshot of what is live today versus representative seed — check /status for current health.

Live adapter

Fetched from an upstream API or scheduled scrape on a public cadence. Freshness badges apply.

Illustrative seed

Curated sample aligned with published formats — useful for UI and demos, not operational response.

What this means

Live today: CBSL FX, Octane fuel, lk-flood-api levels, Open-Meteo weather, CEB power checks, CSE market board (with cache), and news RSS — subject to upstream availability.

Representative seed: dengue weekly tables, MP scorecards, tender notices, local government directory completeness, historical election approximations, and cost-of-living composites.

Mixed: property and vehicle modules attempt partner API calls but fall back to seed bands when upstream errors — watch freshness and source notes on those pages.

We expand live coverage as adapters stay green for 30+ days — see docs/ROADMAP.md. If a module matters to you, /status shows whether it is actually live right now.

What we will not claim

Seed data is never presented as live surveillance or official ledger extracts. When an adapter falls back to seed, freshness and source pages reflect that.
